Dwight Howard to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: ‘I’m Not Stupid’

100513-DwightDwight Howard objected to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar‘s claim that “his IQ is not up to speed for him to be a dominant player,” saying his credentials prove he isn’t stupid.

Howard, 27, is a three-time winner of the Defensive Player of the Year award, a fact that Howard says proves he isn’t of a low IQ, making the right choices where needed.

“Have I done some dumb stuff on the floor? Yes, every player has,” Howard said to the Houston Chronicle.

“When I came to the Lakers I was the greatest center. When I left, I was the worst,” Howard added.

Howard has averaged 18.3 points, 12.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in his nine-year career, and is a three-time All-Star.
