Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler had a hell of a fight at Bellator 106, and now the consequences are settling in, as each fighter has been benched by the California State Athletic Commission, which oversaw the fight from the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, Calif.

But Alvarez (25-3, 14 KOs) avenged his loss to Chandler (12-1, 5 KOs) at Bellator 58 when he submitted to a rear naked choke hold in Nov. 2011.
Alvarez was taken to the hospital following his press conference after complaining of nausea. His suspension is for laceration to his left eyelid and pain in his orbital bone.
Chandler received stitches backstage and returned to his hotel after the event. His suspension is for laceration to his left eye.
