Jimmie Johnson dominated Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway, leading in 255 of 334 laps on his way to victory that placed him as the leader in the Chase for the Sprint Cup with two races left this season.
He and Matt Kenseth arrived tied in points, but the latter held the tiebreaker thanks to his seven wins on the season.
The win was No. 6 for Johnson as he became just the second three-time Cup winner at Texas. It helped No. 48 Hendrick team will take a seven-point lead to Phoenix next week.
