It seems that UCLA special team and linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich is bound to become the team’s new defensive coordinator as hinted on by comments made by five-star linebacker prospect Rashaan Evans as told to AL.com.
An excerpt from the article:
“Earlier in the day, Evans and his family met with UCLA defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who told Evans the Bruins would also like to give the Auburn High standout a look at playing on offense as both a wildcat quarterback and receiver.”
Ulbrich is the former special teams assistant for the Seattle Seahawks, serving there from 2010-11 before moving on to UCLA and helping players such as Anthony Barr, who led the nation with 13.5 sacks as a junior before racking up 10 as a senior.
As for Evans, he and his family will be in town this weekend for an official visit with UCLA.
