Update: Ricky Town committed to USC Saturday night.

A big commitment may be coming to the USC Trojans in quarterback Ricky Town (St. Bonaventure High School/Ventura, CA), who on Saturday decommitted from Alabama and head coach Nick Saban.

The announcement was confirmed by Town on Twitter:

Town stands 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds and is rated as the No. 1 quarterback in the Class of 2015 by Scout.

He holds offers from Arizona State, Georgia, Florida State, Miami (FL) and Texas in addition to USC and several others.

Town is visiting USC this weekend on an unofficial visit and has been known to hold a strong connection with the Trojans for some time.

The commitment to Alabama had been on thin ice after offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier left to take the same position at Michigan.

Alabama seeks a replacement quarterback for A.J. McCarron, while USC would like to find Cody Kessler’s replacement in Town.
