World Cup News: Columbian Radamel Falcao Undergoes Surgery; Hopes For Miracle

Falcao was tackled by Chasselay defender Soner Ertek that left him out of the game and put the entire country of Columbia in depression. Ertek has even received death threats and has been harassed aggressively after the injury.
It took 24 hours to confirm the seriousness of Falcao’s injury which has been will sideline him for 5-6 months.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup begins in about five months and Falcao was key in helping Columbia qualify after 20 years of not being present. Falcao is considered to be one of the best strikers in the world and is the hope and star of Columbia who is projected to have a great showing in the tournament.
Falcao has received so much support and love from his Columbian people, fans all over the world and his former teammates. As devastated that Falcao is at the moment the support from his people is helping him and motivating him to push for a miracle.
The Columbian superstar underwent surgery by Portuguese doctor Jose Carlos Noronha, who has helped many stars get back on the pitch quick and effectively as possible.
It was declared today that Falcao’s chances went from nothing to 50% chance that he will be fit and recovered in time for the World Cup.
Falcao even received a visit from Columbian president Juan Manuel Santos. It’s incredible how much support Falcao has, but will it be enough to help him recover in time and bring hopes back to his nation?
